But are Excellence Collection hotels the best? especially when it comes to all the amazing all-inclusives out there? Let’s investigate!

My wife and I have been to the Playa Mujeres location and our best friends have been to the Punta Cana one, so we are very familiar with this company and what they provide.

After having had the opportunity to stay at different types of all-inclusives from different brands, I can definitely say Excellence stands well above the rest. However, while it may be our favorite brand to stay at, it may be different for you. Are Excellence Collection Hotels the best when it comes to costs?

Excellence is primarily a luxury brand, and you can see this as soon as you visit their website or enter one of their lobbies. But are they really worth it? Let’s break it down. Depending on the location and time of year, a one-week stay for two people at an Excellence Collection All Inclusive resort can range from $3,000 to $7,000. Although this may sound expensive, it’s crucial to remember that it also includes highly-curated lodging in addition to all meals, beverages, and activities. The all-inclusive option can really end up saving you money over the long haul when you account for the expense of eating out and purchasing activities separately.

Excellence Collection Rooms

From modest guest rooms to lux villas, Excellence Collection hotels provide a variety of accommodation and suite choices for visitors. When we went, we got the chance to stay in one of the Excellence Club rooms and our good friends we went with ended up booking the regular rooms, and we can definitely say, their experience was equally as amazing and their room was still very much luxurious feeling and nice. When we stayed, we found an awesome deal to upgrade to the Excellence Club for almost the same price it was to stay in the normal rooms.

We loved the restaurants and they definitely felt upscale. I also loved that the resort has an all-day coffee shop on property, which other all-inclusives we have been to do not provide. We ate a ton at the Excellence Club specific restaurant for breakfast because we felt like it offered the nicest meal, but I generally loved all the restaurants on property, but if I could rank them, I may put the steak place towards the bottom, but thats mostly because I’m just not really a steak person – give me burgers all day!

I sincerely cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff at Excellence properties. From the one we visited to the other location our friends visited, we both came back with stories of just how amazing everyone was. One of the highlights of staying at an Excellence Collection hotel is definitely the friendly and attentive staff.

The staff at Excellence Collection hotels goes above and beyond during your stay to make sure it’s as relaxing and enjoyable as possible for you. The staff is always happy to help, whether you need assistance making activity reservations or have a special request for your room or just looking to chat!

Particularly helpful and knowledgeable staff members at Excellence Collection hotels include the concierges. They are a great source of advice for suggestions on nearby restaurants, entertainment, and attractions, and they are always happy to help you schedule your days and make the most of your trip.

What I thought was interesting was when we brought up tips with some of them. What we found was that some valued a review on Google over a tip because if they receive a certain amount of good reviews per year, they get extra vacation days – you can best believe I wrote down everyone’s names and gave them the best review ever – because honestly, they deserve it. No staff there was expecting tips, but their friendliness and their willingness to go out of their way to make you included and feel special, you cant help but want to give them a review, and a tip to pair.

We ended up making friends with some of the staff and still from time to time communicate with them on Insta. I cannot say enough amazing things about their staff and if you’ve ever been, you know exactly what I’m saying.

Are Excellence Collection Hotels the Best?

In general, Excellence Collection all-inclusive resorts are a luxurious vacation option for those seeking the best in cuisine, beverages, and amenities. Although the all-inclusive package may seem expensive at first, you can actually save money in the long run, and the variety of dining and activity options make it a worthwhile investment for a stress-free and enjoyable vacation. Also, take into consideration, that for around $3,000 for two, you are getting a great deal when compared to other all-inclusives within the same price range.
